Areachap Exploration
Within the Areachap Belt, Orion holds a 1,790sq km landholding that offers outstanding potential for the discovery of both Volcanogenic Massive Sulphide (VMS) mineralisation and intrusive Ni-Cu-PGE mineralisation.
Namaqua-Disawell Project (Nickel, Copper, Cobalt, PGE)
The Namaqua-Disawell Project, located 80km from Orion’s flagship Prieska Project, represents a high-quality discovery and development opportunity in the well-endowed Northern Cape Province of South Africa.
The project hosts the Jacomynspan Ni-Cu-Co-PGE deposit (Jacomynspan Project), where Orion has delineated a maiden Mineral Resource of 6.8Mt containing an estimated 39,480 tonnes of nickel, 23,070 tonnes of copper and 1,800 tonnes cobalt (view full Resource statement here).
In addition to the Jacomynspan deposit, Orion believes the Namaqua-Disawell Project also offers substantial exploration potential for higher-grade, massive and semi-massive accumulations of nickel-bearing sulphides, analogous to the Kabanga Deposit (Tanzania) and the Nova-Bollinger Deposit (Fraser Range Province of Western Australia).
Airborne Electro-Magnetic survey work and geochemical sampling has identified a series of ultramafic intrusions, which have collectively been named the Jacomynspan Intrusive Suite. The Jacomynspan Intrusive Suite includes the high-priority Rok Optel nickel-copper target, where drilling has confirmed the presence of massive sulphide mineralisation.

Masiqhame Project (Zinc, Copper)
The Masiqhame Prospecting Right is located 80km north of the Prieska Copper-Zinc Project, and comprises almost 980 sq km. The project area includes three known zinc-copper mineral occurrences at Kantienpan, Boksputs and Van Wyk’s Pan, indicating regional potential for hosting VMS copper-zinc and nickel sulphide mineralisation.
Electromagnetic surveys of the Masiqhame Project area have identified high-priority targets at the B1 and B4 conductors, with drilling programs planned.

Marydale Project (Gold, Copper)
The Marydale Project is a greenfields gold discovery located 60km north of the Prieska Project.
Orion is currently reviewing the potential of the Marydale Gold-Copper Deposit, based on a new interpretation that the control on the mineralisation is shear hosted. All historical data is currently being reinterpreted, and if this new interpretation indicates that the deposit is amenable to small scale mining, the Company will then apply for a mining permit.
